By the end of the movie, we were really cheering for this young lady to abandon the grandiose lifestyle she was accustomed to and stay in the small town where she had fallen in love with the manager of the local inn. Perhaps it was because of my own yearning for a simpler way of life at times.
This snowy small-town scene reminds me of the one in the movie. I derived a palette from the snow white of the ground, the gray-blues of the sky, and the violets and yellow-golds in the houses. From there, I formed a pendant by adding a wire-wrapped bail and faceted bead accents to a Drusy teardrop, then assembled a strand of gold, blue, and frosted white glass beads.
I hope you enjoy the beauty that winter brings!
