Take an open black ring and place 2 closed silver rings and 2 closed black rings on the ring and close it. Take an open black ring and go through a silver and a black ring from the previous step that are sitting next to each other. Add a closed silver ring so it is next to the silver ring and a closed black ring so it sits next to the black ring and close the ring. This gives you a 2-1-2-1-2 chain.

To begin to add the next row take an open black ring and go up through the first black ring of the previous row and down through the middle ring from the previous row, add 2 closed black rings and close the ring. Arrange the new rings so they conform to the pattern of the previous 2 rows.

Take an open black ring and go up through the middle ring that was just added and the middle ring from the previous row and go down through the last black ring of the previous row, add a closed black ring and close the ring.

Continue to add rows in black as in steps 2 and 3 until you want to change the color. For this pattern I have done 5 rows of black. The next rows are added in the same way as before. The open rings that weave into the previous row I have kept as black and the rings that are added as closed rings I have changed to silver.

For this silver block I added another full row of silver and then 5 full rows of black.

The next silver color change is made with 2 full rows of silver and then with the black color change I kept the weaving rings as silver and the closed rings were changed to black.

I did 5 rows of black and at this point the rest of the color change blocks are repeated from the last one to the first one.

Working with the smaller 19g rings take an open ring and go down into the first silver ring and out through the second silver ring. Now work both ends of the ring into the corresponding rings on the clasp, close the ring.

Take another open 19g ring and go down into the second silver ring and out through the 3rd silver ring, work the ends of the ring into the rings on the clasp, the middle clasp ring is a tighter fit because of the 2 rings going into it, and close the ring. Attach the other end of the clasp in the same way.
