Place a bead on the 20g wire and with the round nosed pliers make a double loop about the size of the small 1/8" rings. Do the same on the other end, making the direction of the 2nd double loop go the opposite way to the first. Make sure the ends of the wire are on the same side for both ends. Sand the ends of the wire so there are no sharp edges. Repeat this for the coin beads and the beads for the pendant drop. You need about 2.2" (5.5cm) of wire for each 10mm bead. The bottom bead of the pendant drop can be done with wire or a headpin.

Place 2 closed small rings on a large ring and close the ring. With an open small ring go through both small rings and close the ring. Add another small ring in the same place. With an open small ring go through both small rings that were just added and close the ring. Add another small ring in the same place.

You now have a 2-2-2 chain coming from the large ring, I'll call these links 1st, 2nd and 3rd counting from the large ring. The 2 rings from the 3rd link are folded back towards the large ring, one ring each

The edges of the rings that were on the left are now on the right hand side (blue dots). With an open ring part the 2 rings from the 2nd link and go through the 2 folded back rings. Close the ring.

Add another small ring in the same place. The last photo shows this from a different angle.

Add 2 more links with 2 rings in each link. Now there is a 2-2-2 chain.

As in step 2, fold back the 2 rings from the 3rd link, one on each side.

With an open ring, part the rings from the 2nd link, and go through both of the folded back rings.

Before you close this ring add a coin bead link. Add another small ring in the same place.

Add a 2-2-2 chain to the end of the bead.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 adding a large ring in step 3 instead of a bead.

Repeat steps 2-5. This gives you one side of the front of the necklace. Continue repeating steps 2-5 twice more to finish the front part of the necklace.

Add a tail of beads for the front pendant to the middle large ring, separating each bead in the drop with 2 ringed links.

Continue to add 2-2-2 chains and fold them back into the byzantine weave on both sides of the necklace until you have the length you want. For both sides I added 21 sections of the folded back 2-2-2 chains. Finish with a clasp on one side and an 18g 3/16" ring on the other side. The clasp needs to be added with a small 1/8" ring.
