Instructions
Step 1
You can make these hoops any diameter you want. Just choose a mandrel in the size you want your hoops and wrap the wire around until it overlaps by about ¾”. Trim the wire.
Step 2
Grasp one tip of the wire in your round nose or combination pliers and turn a small loop in the end at a 90 degree angle to the wire.
Step 3
Grasp one end of the wire in your round nose or combination pliers and turn a small loop in the end at a 90 degree angle to the wire.
Step 4
Slide the other end of the wire into the loop and trim to within ¼” of the loop. Use your pliers to make a slight upward bend in the wire.
Step 5
Wire hoop earrings can be done at this point! Or….
Step 6
Using your hammer and bench block, hammer out the wire until flat. You can use the rounded side of the hammer to add more texture.
