The last silver ring was added in between the 1st and 2nd brass rings, so the next silver ring is added in between the 2nd and 3rd rings. Take an open silver ring and go down into the 2nd and 3rd rings, bring the ring out of the last brass ring, add a closed brass ring and close the ring. Continue to add rings in the same way, the next open ring will go down into the 3rd and 4th rings. As the chain gets longer rather than counting from the beginning to work out where to add your first ring, just remember you are only working on the last 3 rings from the lower row shown in brass. Once you get the hang of weaving in the open ring and simply adding the closed ring, this chain works up fairly quickly.
